The Langwathby Rustic Serving Board can be finished un-charred or by using the art of charring wood which involves subjecting each piece of timber to fire to create a finish that cannot be replicated in any other manner. This process brings out the grain in the timber and truly makes for a wonderfully unique finish. Once the process of charring the wood is completed each piece of timber is treated with 2 coats of Natural Danish Oil which seals and protects the wood whilst adding a water resistant coating.
*Please choose the level of Firing (Charring) that you wish for your Serving Board to receive using the drop down boxes, from no charring through to heavily charred. The main image shows - Lightly Fired and Image 3 shows - Medium Fired, with the Danish Oil image showing an un-charred example with no charring applied. Heavily Fired wood will be essentially black with just a few lighter spots.

*Our rustic Serving Boards are handcrafted using a mixture of new and reclaimed boards and as such may have natural and manmade blemishes in the wood. We work with these to create a feature which is why every single piece of beautiful handcrafted furniture we make is completely unique.
*Our rustic Serving Boards are sealed using 2 x coats of Natural Danish Oil which carries a foodsafe label and is suitable for useage on food preparation surfaces.
*Available in various Lengths with a Depth of 22cm and a Height of 4cm.

In order to keep Raw Steel looking it's best rub lightly with a scourer with WD40 on it from time to time in order to maintain its appearance.
