FAQ's

We email full tracking details to you once we have despatched your order. All of our orders are despatched on a fully tracked courier service to provide you with clarity on when you can expect your order to arrive.

For handmade items, our processing time is 8-10 working days (Monday - Friday), with delivery taking an additional 3-5 working days. For non-handmade or in-stock items, processing takes 3-5 working days. Orders placed before December 5th will be dispatched in time for Christmas delivery. Full tracking information will be emailed once your order is collected by the courier. While we dispatch orders in good time for Christmas, we cannot be held responsible for courier delays.

We use a variety of couriers subject to their availability, but as a general rule these are normally:

- DPD

- Parcel Force

- UPS

- Hermes

- TNT

- Fed Ex

We strongly recommend that you do not place your furniture next to a heat source such as a radiator or fire as this can adversely dry the timber causing the wood to shrink or bend.

We use a mix of new and reclaimed timber, which may have natural and man-made imperfections like chips, dents, and slight warping. We take great care to make the final product as straight as possible, working with these imperfections to enhance the piece. We provide rubber feet protectors and felt pads to help level any minor imperfections.

We strive for accuracy in our quoted sizes, but we work to a tolerance of +/- 1cm in any direction, including internal spaces like shelves. Dimensions within this range are not considered faulty and are not eligible for return or refund.

We offer our products in three finishing wax colours: Clear/Natural, Medium Brown (Rugger Brown - Fiddes colour chart), and Dark Brown (Jacobean - Fiddes colour chart). If our standard colours don't suit your needs, you can request any colour from the Fiddes Furniture Wax colour chart in the comments at checkout.

We use minimal packaging to protect your orders during transit and reuse materials whenever possible. You might receive your order in reused packaging with different branding. Please recycle all cardboard materials to help us reduce our environmental impact.

We use a mixture of new and reclaimed timber in all of our products.

As a general rule the timber we use is European Whitewood, this can be a mix of either Silver Fir (Abies Alba) or Norway Spruce (Picea abies).

All of our timber is either reclaimed or FSC certified. So you can rest assured that your order has come from forests that are sustainable and managed responsibly.

Please note that although we do deliver to the Scottish Highlands, due to fluctuating and extremely high courier charges we may on occasion have to refuse a particularly heavy or bulky order. Where this is necessary we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the problem and issue a full refund within 48hrs.

Sometimes, we temporarily disable online payment processing to manage the flow of orders into our workshop and maintain high customer service standards. Online payments are usually reinstated within 48 hours. If payments are unavailable, please contact us to see if we can accommodate your order without delay.
